GeoCEO: Geopolitics for CEOs

Headed by Javier Solana, President of ESADE Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics

Javier Solana is President of the Centre for Global Economy and Geopolitics at ESADE (Barcelona-Madrid), Honorary President of the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (Geneva), a distinguished Brookings senior fellow (Washington), Vice President of the Global Health Institute in Barcelona, Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics, member of the Board of Trustees of the International Crisis Group, and member of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Between 1999 and 2009, he was Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union; and between 1995 and 1999, Secretary-General of NATO. Javier Solana was also High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Previously, he held various ministerial posts in the Spanish government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is a Professor of Solid-State Physics at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
