In an ever-changing, international environment in which businesses breathe, feel and transform themselves faster than ever, it is essential to implement an effective, on-going strategy to enable the leaders in organisations to adapt and reinvent themselves.
The aim of the AMP, based on the combined experience of staff and students, is to create singular, shared spaces that help us expand our universe of professional and personal experiences, building upon creativity, reflection and on-going discussion.
In the programme we will learn how to use essential emotional management tools to enable top management to overcome invisible barriers to their advancement and achieve the best results with the most competitive teams, whilst strengthening and rounding off their management skills.

This exclusive, innovative course from ESADE is a unique, international experience. It will be held from November to April in Madrid and Barcelona simultaneously and feature a joint week at Wharton (Pennsylvania, USA), the world-famous business school, analysing the latest trends in strategy, internationalisation and global finance.

In addition, we will have the world’s foremost experts in

Innovation                                                                       Prof. Jay Rao (Babson College)
Personal development and self knowledge            Prof. Jagdish Parikh (Global Speaker)
Top Management Programmes                                 Prof. Schon Beechler (Duke University)

AMP applies an innovative methodology featuring a Personal Development Programme designed by one of the creators of emotional intelligence, Richard Boyatzis, together with a strategic simulator and the cutting-edge Sinergy (a behaviour simulator for generating high performance teams in uncertain and unstable environments).

The CEO Forum, a prestigious meeting point consisting of outstanding leaders from today’s business world, provides the ideal complement for the Advanced Management Programme.

  • To gain "insights" on the changes in the environment to transform them into competitive strategies.
  • To understand the levers of the business system and align them in a way that makes it possible to implement effective strategies.
  • To develop "core capabilities" in global leadership.
  • To increase self-knowledge and the effectiveness of personal leadership in order to lead change-oriented teams.
  • To apply skills and concepts to professional settings and to personal challenges

Executives with at least 15 years of experience, a large amount of responsibility within their companies, a high level of commitment to their organisations, and a desire for personal development as executives, who wish to take their training to a higher level by complementing their prior management training with the knowledge and specific competencies of general management.

Participants must have a good level of business English in order to properly follow the sessions and fit in with the international focus of the programme.

Personal development strategy

At the sessions dedicated to leadership and executive skills, students will have the chance to carry out a personal diagnosis. Through the LEAD Programme, developed by Daniel Goleman and Richard Boyatzis and exclusively adapted for Europe by ESADE, students will devise a personal development strategy that fits the profile of ideal leadership. In addition to lecture sessions, students will participate in various reflection and self-knowledge exercises, a 360º feedback process, coaching sessions, and the development of a learning plan under the supervision of experts in executive competencies.

International period

The programme includes an intensive period at Wharton (Pennsylvania, EEUU), during the international period, academic sessions will be combined with work sessions that cover case studies and feature the participation of executives from the companies in question. This period in an unfamiliar setting provides students with a wonderful opportunity to broaden their knowledge from an international viewpoint.

Synergy simulator

This seminar is based on a behavioural simulator that transports students from an environment of uncertainty (i.e. growth and expansion, changes, new lines of business, mergers, takeovers) to an environment of complexity (i.e. markets that are mature, competitive, globalised and interrelated).
The participants are required to continually analyse needs from both personal and management-related perspectives. Personal skills are complemented by team-specific relationship skills. The fun, powerful and experience-based dynamic of the simulator has a large emotional impact. By inspiring motivation and cohesion, organisations are able to face possible risks and take advantage of potential opportunities and synergies.

CEO Forum

The programme features the participation of an important leader from the world of business and economics. At a luncheon (in Madrid) or a dinner (in Barcelona), this individual gives a lecture on a current-affairs topic and then participates in a discussion and shares impressions with the students. These sessions give students an exceptional opportunity to debate ideas with key figures and learn from their experience and vision in a relaxed environment.
